Call for Entries

●Introduction　　　
The 11th edition of Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia is now accepting short film submissions in 4 categories:

1) Japan Competition
2) International Competition
3) Asia International Competition

*Under 25min. with end credits
*Produced after January 2007
*Japan Premiere
*All genre except Promotional Video (Music Video)

4) STOP! Global Warming Competition

*Under 25min. with end credits and the theme of “Global Warming”
*All genre except Promotional Video (Music Video)

●How to submit your film
Visit www.shortshorts.org and go to “festival submission” on the left side menu. Read the submission guideline thoroughly and fill out the submission form, and then click “send”. You will receive a confirmation e-mail and submission receipt which you will need when you send your DVD to us.

●Awards (TBA)
Grand Prix: Selected from the 3 Official Competition categories: Japan, International, and Asia International.
Eligible for the Academy Award® nomination for the following year.

Best Short Award: 600000 yen (appx. US$5000)
One Best Short Award will be chosen for each category.

Audience Award: 400000 yen (appx. US$3000)
One Audience Award will be chosen for each category.

*Various sponsor’s awards will be also available. (TBA)

●Deadline　November 15, 2008 (postmark deadline)

●Announcement of the winners　
* All the nominees will be notified via e-mail in February, 2009.
* Award winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony in June, 2009.
